Editorial Akrón pone a la venta este mes de marzo la última novela del escritor ovetense "Un Siglo de Cenizas".
Con el cultivo de tabaco como telón de fondo, Martín Cid compone una obra profundamente anti-social y apolítica, una saga familiar de cultivadores de periqueé, un extraño tabaco que sólo crece en el Mississippi norteamericano.

"Un Siglo de Cenizas", según palabras de su propio autor es "descarnada y poética, brutal y despiadada. He buscado plasmar la soledad en una sociedad dominada a través de unos personajes totalmente aislados del medio que viven en otro tiempo y que tienen otras costumbres. He tratado de mostrar lo primitivo del ser humano y su más atroz moral ".
Tras "Ariza" (editorial Alcalá, 2008), "Un Siglo de Cenizas" es la segunda novela de Martín Cid.
