Full of romanticism and vampirism, adventures and generous feelings, it is not a surprise its big success among teenager and young people since its publishing in 2005. Isabella “Bella” Swan, a 17 y. o. girl from Phoenix (Arizona), moves to Forks (Washington). In her new school, she knows Edward Cullen, a strange boy who saves her to be run over by a van… but he seems to defy the laws of physics! Then, Bella starts to be very interested in Edward and his family. Jacob Black, a family friend, tells her some local tribal legends and Bella concludes that Edward Cullen and his family are vampires who drink animal blood instead of human one. Edward and Bella fall in love but their relationship is thrown into chaos when James, a true tracker vampire, wants to hunt Bella for sport. Search after search, pursuit after pursuit, the emotion is highly served until the end of the book. This first novel of the series concludes when Bella expresses her desire to become a vampire and Edward refuses… Definitely, it is a forbidden love, very romantic, in constant fight among impossible desires and difficult circumstances. Edward likes Bella’s blood but he does not like to damage her. He should split with Bella but he cannot live without her… This book is, no doubt, the last hit of vampirism.
