The other day, reading on the web, I knew that in a hospital of England: Royal Oldham Hospital, smokers (not smoking) are not allowed in maternity waiting room. “In the interests of others, smokers are not allowed in this room”, the sign outside the waiting room says.
Therefore, for the first time smokers have been prohibited from entering a public place. The justification for this policy is that smokers emit thirdhand smoke which could be harmful to patients or visitors in the hospital.

El invierno, como el verano, como la primera comunión, el entierro de la lavadora o las compras del miércoles, transcurren entre buenas y malas experiencias, pequeñas y grandes anécdotas, vida y no vida que nos aportan soledad y compañías. Siempre es así y de su suma obtenemos alguna arruga más, muchas producidas por la risa.
A mí el fanatismo me produce risa, debo decirlo, supongo que es porque soy española y en la tierra de Don Quijote nacemos con la capacidad de sobrevivir a cualquier chalado/ada que exhausto grite -en cualquier esquina- tratando de imponer la última verdad que un dios iletrado le haya susurrado en pesadillas.

 EnglishThere's an almost Fascist-like policy against smokers in much of the world.  It's now, quite legally, acceptable to discriminate against them in housing, employment and basic services.  As a former smoker, it was contemptible when a non-smoker would approach, unsolicited, and say, “Smoking is bad for you.”  Moral superiority would ooze out.

English A new Yareah was born on February: we are searching for writers and collaborators.

We have redesigned the site and we have added new categories like opinions and movies. Now, you can directly send us your news. You just need to register, to answer the e-mail and... to publish your own news, texts or photos!
We are receiving articles, poems, reviews and short fiction and we would like to invite you to participate in this new moment for Yareah: the arts and literature magazine.

At the end of the month, we will select the most interesting pieces to make the pdf-magazine. On April, it will be titled: To Be or not to Be.
We hope you enjoy our new site and you participate in this new idea for the future.
Everybody is welcome.

Estamos recibiendo artículos, poemas, críticas y cuentos y queremos invitaros a participar en esta nueva época de Yareah, la revista de arte y literatura.
Ahora puedes enviarnos directamente tus propias noticias. Sólo necesitas registrarte, responder al email y... ¡publicar tus propias noticias, textos o fotos!
