 En sus obras, podemos ver reflejado su mundo interior y principalmente su deseo de hacernos reaccionar: de despertar nuestros sentimientos e inquietudes dormidas. Conocido como "El despertador", este escritor sirve de inspiración para todos.
En una de sus entrevistas a la revista lmpressiones Carlos "el Despertador" comentaba lo siguiente:
" He de citar otra motivación para escribir poesía; en este caso parte del poema “Melancolía” del bate nicaragüense Rubén Dario: “La poesía es la camisa férrea de mil puntas cruentas que llevo sobre el alma.Las espinas sangrientas dejan caer las gotas de mi melancolia”... "

Tarde de Playa
(Eastbourne, 16 de abril de 2005)

Desde esta lejana playa,
invoco una vez más
la presencia de místicas palabras.

Ansioso por descifrar el canto
de una melancólica gaviota
en este tiempo que se me agota.

Ansioso por grabar tu nombre
en un viejo peñón
antes que se oculte el sol.

Aun huelo tu perfume
en este viento
que viene del sur y se pierde
en el laberinto de mis sentidos.

Poseidón duerme tranquilo
mientras el poeta se recrea en sus dominios.

Y sin embargo,
tu recuerdo se va desgastando
como las piedras que las olas
en esta orilla golpea.

Gaviota dime
si cantas, gritas o lloras.

Un mosquito me susurra
que es hora de irme
ya que el sol se hunde
y antes de que la marea
borre tu nombre
que solo pude dibujar en la arena.

Rescate

Quiero rescatar

la fragilidad con que temblabas

al primer beso,

y esa sensación

que estremecía tus entrañas.

Despertar el deseo del reencuentro,

de volver amar sin palabras.

Y las ansias

con que mordías la almohada

cuando solo por un instante tu amor

se marchaba.

Sé que no fui el primero

solo sé que deseo devolverte la ilusión

que la traición te arrebató.

Porque puedo ver en tus ojos

que aún queda en tu corazón

un lugar para el amor.

Carlos Pérez is a Peruvian poet who defines himself as an universal citizen. His trips, people he has met, chance, love, melancholy are just part of his inspiration. Poet, short story writer ... he defends his own style: a style with no ties and free as life itself. On his works, we can see his inner world and his deep desire to make people react: he desires to arise our numb feelings and interests. This poet known as "el despertador" is an inspiration for all of us.
 
In one of his interviews, he commented as follows:

" I should mention a new motive to write poetry; in this case, it comes from the poem "Melancholy" by the Nicaraguan Rubén Dario: “Poetry is the iron shirt of a thousand bloody tips that I am wearing over my soul. The bleeding thorns let fall drops of my melancholy ..."   "

Evening at the Beach

(Eastbourne, 16th April 2005)

From this distant beach,
I invoke once again
the presence of mystical words.

Eager to decipher
the song of a melancholic seagull
in this time that is running out for me.

Eager to engrave your name
in an old rock
before the sun hides.

I can still smell your perfume
in this wind
that comes from the south and gets lost
in the labyrinth of my senses.

Poseidon sleeps peacefully
while the poet takes pleasure in his realms.

And nevertheless,
the memory of you is wearing away
like the pebbles that the waves
of this shore beat against.

Seagull, tell me
if you are singing, shouting or crying.

A mosquito whispers to me
that it’s time for me to go,
now that the sun is sinking,
before the tide
erases your name
that I could only write in the sand.

Rescue

I want to rescue
the fragility with which you trembled
on the first kiss
and that sensation
gave you butterflies in your stomach.

Awaken the desire of the reunion.
to love again without words.

And the longing
with which you bit the pillow
when just for a moment your love went away.

I know I was not the first
I only know that I want to give you back the illusion
that the betrayal snatched from you.

Because I can see in your eyes
that there still remains in your heart
a place for love.
