 | | Hokusai, padre del manga | Katsushika Hokusai nació y murió en Edo, actual Tokio, tal vez de una concubina de Katsukawa Shunsho, maestro de la escuela Ukiyo-e, que basaba sus trabajos en grabados producidos de forma masiva para aquéllos que no podían comprar pinturas originales, con temas de paisajes, de historia o cortesanos, y de quien Hokusai llegaría a ser heredero para posteriormente introducir el color y la perspectiva occidentales y acuñar lo que hoy conocemos como manga. |
