Anyway, one of the best points of Vikings is the cast. Travis Fimmel as King Ragnar Lothbrok, Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, Gustaf Skarsgard as Floki and above all, Clive Standen as Rollo, a warrior and Ragnar’s brother, rock. What’s their secret? Precisely, our quote of the day is by Clive Standen, a great actor who is proud of the cast of Vikings. Listen to him!
“The cast of ‘Vikings’ is a real team, a true ensemble. It’s a mad, eclectic, great bunch! But we support each other and trust each other completely. There are no egos.” Clive Standen.
Rollo (c. 846 – c. 932) is a character based on the historical person who was the great-great-great-grandfather of William the Conqueror. He came from a noble warrior family of Scandinavian origin, and took part in raids along France’s Seine river. It appears that he reigned over the region of Normandy until at least 927.
“My first press tour for ‘Vikings’ was pretty overwhelming. Between all the hotels, TV shows and talking a lot, I would get done and have to sit in silence for a while. It was exhausting, and you really have to focus.” Clive Standen.
**Vikings is an Irish-Canadian historical drama television series written and created by Michael Hirst for the television channel History. Filmed in Ireland, it premiered on 3 March 2013 in the United States and Canada.
