Scottish actor Sam Heughan, who plays as Jamie Fraser in the acclaimed TV series Outlander, has already won several important awards in the world of TV. He was named Best Actor in a drama series in Entertainment Weekly’s EWwy Awards earlier this year as well as named RadioTimes.com’s SciFi Champion 2015.
Now and according to Gold Derby’s Golden Globe predictions, Heughan is ranked second place to win TV Drama Actor. In fact, he is behind last year winner, House of Cards star Kevin Spacey, in the rankings system. No doubt, his popularity has shoot up the rankings after sitting in 11th position in 2015.
Definitely, Outlander dominated the awards designed to recognize the TV shows, movies and actors who were ignored in the nominations for the Emmys. Also, Caitriona Balfe who plays the role as Claire Fraser and Tobias Menzies who is Frank Randall/Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall are favorite.
