With Emmy nomination or without it, Outlander star Sam Heughan is the big revelation of 2015 TV shows. He’s trend in all of the social networks, has millions of fans and followers, and everybody is anxiously waiting for the release of Outlander season 2. Here, he plays as Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser, a very difficult role full of complicated interpretive moments that he masterfully solved.

No doubt, Sam Heughan will start a promising film career soon. What kind of roles will he play? He has the body of a Hollywood action man and he is ironic and elegant. Then, he could perfectly be the next James Bond (it seems that Daniel Craig will leave the role in 2016).

Of course, he could play in any period drama or as an historical hero. Why not a Medieval king? They are trend now! For example, remember Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur.

How about a very different role to Jamie Fraser? He has a friendly face, a fabulous smile, and knows how to make jokes. Of course, he could play in any comedy set in the 21 century!

What do you think about Sam Heughan’s future? Tell us your opinion now!

** Remember that Sam Heughan has already played in Young Alexander the Great (2010), Emulsion (2013), and Heart of Lightness (2014).
Furthermore, he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Performer in 2003, for his performance in the play Outlying Islands at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs.

“I never once dreamed of sort of being able to be in an American TV series, you know? It was all about theater and touring and sort of being an actor around Scottish theater.” Sam Heughan.

Please please please, make him the next Mr. Bond. He would be wonderful in it. Or in a franchise Liam Neeson type movie. He is definitely a matinee idol. I can already picture him on His Majesty’s Secret Service ♥

Totally love to see Sam as James Bond, so can see him in that role or even as Jason Bourne.

I find it hard to imagine a better role for Sam Heughan, in the long run, than Jamie Fraser in “Outlander,” especially if more of Diana Gabaldon’s books keep being adapted. For verification of this point:

    1. Look at the Wikipedia article about Roger Moore with its picture of when he played a role in Maverick (1960-61), when he was just about Heughan’s age now. No
wonder Heughan was cast as his son in “A Princess for Christmas” (2011). So there’s a reason why fans might suggest Heughan for the iconic role of James Bond, which Moore played for many years in Hollywood time.

    2. Next, however, at Roger Moore’s quotes on his page on IMDB, where he discusses his long tenure playing James Bond. Without looking this gift horse in the mouth, Moore found the James Bond franchise silly and boring!

His craft is perfection for Jamie Fraser. He is a beautiful man and has the acting chops to play virtually any role he chooses. We all hope to see much, much more of him!

I have a feeling Sam is on the verge of becoming a megastar. He was pretty amazing in Outlander Season One. He comes across in interviews as such a humble and kind man. I hope that doesn’t change if he does become a household name.

Hopefully he won’t outgrow the Jamie Fraser role. He may be catapulted to such fame that Outlander won’t be able to afford him on payroll.

You have to be kidding me…..he would make a horrible James Bond. There is a reason why his acting teacher said he would never make it. He really isn’t that good.
