Hong Kong events. Mur Nomade presents a paper craft workshop on Sunday 23 August in conjunction with the exhibition ‘away.’
To celebrate the well-received winning exhibition of its Open Call for Young Curators away, Mur Nomade will be hosting a paper craft workshop on Sunday 23rd August. Led by Amanda Cheng, the founder of Soul House (Paper Art) Design Studio, the workshop links to the themes of connection and relationship, bringing a new perspective on the paper craft offerings.
Paper craft offerings are not only tools for connecting with the deceased, they can also be the vessel to express personal emotions. Paper craftsman and artist Amanda Cheng will be teaching participants to make a 3D paper mask of a person dear to them. She will guide them to sketch from appearances, facial expressions to styles and characters, hoping to turn every feeling and image into a physical object.
