Quote of The Day By Homeland Star Claire Danes. Homeland is a political thriller television series developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. It’s based on the Israeli series Hatufim created by Gideon Raff. The series stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder. In Iraq, Carrie learned from a CIA asset that an American prisoner of war had been turned by al-Qaeda. Thus, terrorism, counterterrorism and psychology are Carrie’s strong points. In Homeland season 5, Carrie is no longer working for the CIA, and is working for a private security firm in Berlin.
Claire Danes plays a difficult role because Carrie is smart and brave but has psychological problems and her investigations can be complicated for her obsessions. Few days ago, Claire Danes has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in the Emmy Nominations 2015. She deserves it! Don’t you think so?
Today, our quote of the day is by this great actress:
“Counterterrorism isn’t really about the nunchakus, the guns and gadgets. It’s about psychology.” Claire Danes.
From 2011, Claire Danes has play the role as Carrie Mathison in the TV series Homeland, a success! She has already won two Emmys and two Golden Globes and she has also won two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
“I actually think in some ways that it might be more challenging to be bipolar because it’s so mercurial – it’s so ever-changing. You can’t get any traction. You can’t build on a system. Whereas, somebody who has Asperger’s, which is certainly a much more forgiving expression of autism, can create models for coping and build on them over time.” Claire Danes.
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you! Be happy this summer with your family and friends!
“Psychology and acting are very closely linked. It’s just about studying people and how they work. It can be an incredible discipline and exercise.” Claire Danes.
