In spite of his youth, Harry Styles has a long career as a singer and songwriter. He made his debut as a singer with his band White Eskimo in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England. But in 2010, he auditioned as a solo artist for the British television series The X Factor… The following is history! After being eliminated as a solo artist, he was brought back into the competition to form the group that would later become known as One Direction.
Harry Styles and his bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, have released four successful albums, performed on a worldwide tour, and won several awards, including two BRIT Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. Wooow!
However, what does he think about being a musician? Today, listen to him. For Harry Styles, music is honesty and emotion.
“You get a lot of who you are as a musician across through the music you write. If you’re writing your own music, then it’s important to be really honest.” Harry Styles.
Where does he find inspiration? Why are feelings so important for Styles?
“You’re always going to write and draw inspiration from things that you’re feeling, things that you’ve felt. It’s kind of impossible not to unless you’re writing a song and there’s an exact scenario that you’re trying to write a song for.” Harry Styles.
In Harry Styles’ own words, music is just emotions. What do you think? Tell us your opinion now!
“I think when you’re writing songs, it’s impossible to not draw on personal experiences, whether it be traveling or girls or anything. Just emotions.” Harry Styles.
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you! Summer 2015 is wonderful!
