Hell on Wheels season 5. Cullen Bohannon tunneling through the Rocky Mountains was a real happening.
Hell on Wheels Season 5 returns July 18 on AMC. We are excited about the idea of meeting our heroes again. Will Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) find his wife and child? And how about Eva (Robin McLeavy)? I have always admired this great woman. In fact, I even admire Durant (Colm Meaney) and his peculiar moral.
However, our favorite characters are living in separated worlds now. Remember that in Hell on Wheels season 4 finale, Cullen Bohannon accepted the offer to leave Union Pacific behind for the Western end of the Transcontinental Railroad. Thus, Central Pacific had to tunnel through the Rocky Mountains while Union Pacific and Durant moved at a faster pace. A new challenge for Bohannon and his current partners, including Chinese railroad workers played by Byron Mann and Tzi Ma.
“While grappling with the challenges of corralling his new workforce, Cullen leads the Central Pacific’s herculean effort to tunnel through the Sierra Nevada mountains, sometimes achieving only inches a day in the race to complete America’s first Transcontinental Railroad.” AMC.
No doubt, Hell on Wheels Season 5 will be thrilling. And more if we read the last declarations by John Wirth to EW about Hell on Wheels Season 5 episode 2. “It’s based on a story that really happened,” he says. “There’s an incredible story that happened that you can’t believe happened.” What will it be?
On November 7, 2014, Hell on Wheels was renewed for a fifth and final season consisting of 14 episodes to be aired in 2015 and 2016.
