Outlander. Is Sam Heughan So Good As Bryan Cranston Or Jeff Daniels?
Outlander & the Emmy race for 2015 Best Drama Actor is on the table. For the past two years, the award has been won by Bryan Cranston (AMC “Breaking Bad”) and Jeff Daniels (HBO “The Newsroom”). But Starz is strong this year with top TV shows as Black Sails, Power, The Missing… And of course and above all, Outlander.
Outlander Season 1 has been a complete success and everybody is waiting anxiously for Outlander Season 2. Plot, sets, costume, production… Everything is amazing but what has surpassed all expectations is the cast. Caitriona Balfe playing the role as Claire Randall/Fraser has thrilled audiences and Sam Heughan playing as Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser is… What to say about Sam Heughan? Speechless!
Outlander is a British-American television drama series based on the historical time travel Outlander series of novels by Diana Gabaldon. If we think about Breaking Bad and The Newsroom, we’ll see that voters appreciate stars who portray tense roles set in contemporary times.
Sam Heughan’s role is set two centuries ago and in the romantic Scottish highlands. However, why not a change? His role is absolutely difficult, his performance requires irony, sense of humor, passion, tenderness, force, and resistance to suffering. Isn’t this a tense role? Unquestionably edgy!
In my opinion, Sam Heughan deserves the 2015 Emmy for Best Drama Actor. What do you think? Tell us your opinion now!
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
**On August 15, 2014, Starz renewed Outlander for a second season of at least 13 episodes, which will be based on Dragonfly in Amber, the second book in Diana Gabaldon’s series. Jamie and Claire will be in Paris, in the Court of Louis XV, this time.
