Outlander Season 2 Will Look Luxurious! Designer Terry Dresbach Made A Whole New Wardrobe for Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan.)
Outlander Season 1 finale is coming, the episode is titled “To Ransom a Man’s Soul”. Thrilling? Of course! Everybody is waiting for May 30 and also, asking for news about Outlander Season 2.
As you know, Outlander Season 1 was set in the 18th century Scottish Highlands and in Inverness after the IIWW. At that time, Scottish Highlands were poor due to looting were done by the Redcoats (I absolutely hate Black Jack!) Thus, designer Terry Dresbach made popular costumes, although I really love Scottish tartans.
The same applies to the sobriety of costumes for men and women of the 40s. After World War II, no one had much money!
However, Outlander Season 2 will switch over into a new setting: Paris during the reign of King Louis XV… Madame Pompadour times! This means an entirely new look to the series, particularly in Terry Dresbach’s costume design.
Ron Moore assured that Outlander Season 2 will look completely different. Terry Dresbach has made a whole new wardrobe with a whole new color palette and different fabrics. Great! Caitriona Balfe is a former model. It’ll be amazing to see her in the court of Louis XV dealing with French aristocracy. Paris was the fashion leader of the time!
“Literally we’ve created an entire new wardrobe for the show.” Ron Moore.
Remember that designer Terry Dresbach is the wife of Ron Moore, creator of Outlander TV show. What do you think about their collaboration? Don’t you love the designs that Outlander characters wear?
Anyway, it should be a pleasure to design for Sam Heughan? Everything suits him!
**Remember that on August 15, 2014, Starz renewed the series for a second season of at least 13 episodes, which will be based on Dragonfly in Amber, the second book in Gabaldon’s series.
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
