Outlander Starz. Jamie Fraser (actor Sam Heughan) is too brave to be real, isn’t he? Then, we can think that Outlander TV show as well as Diana Gabaldon’s books have created a false character more similar to a superhero than a real man.
Why is Jamie Fraser so brave? If we think about the terrible facts of his past, maybe we understand the reasons of his behavior and the motives why he finishes with a personality so strong and admirable.
Yes, Jamie Fraser could be a real Scot warrior in the 18th century, who suffered the injustice of the Redcoats and the cruelty of Black Jack.
He was young when his sister Jenny Fraser was abused, he tried to defend her and fiercely punished by Black Jack. In fact, his back still has the scars of that torture.
From then, every time he meets Redcoats, they are stealing, abusing or laughing at his family, friends and neighbors. Scotland was angry and he was Scottish.
Furthermore, his father died a cause of this terrible events and the Redcoats have put a price on his head.
Treason and injustice is what he is living everyday. He needs to be strong to survive, so strong as a superhero.
Definitely, Diana Gabaldon’s character could be real (even popular) in those hard times. Outlander TV show is not exaggerating.
And you? What do you think about Jamie Fraser?
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
