Scandal Season 4. Olivia Pope Can Defeat B613 But She Is Terrified. Why?

Scandal Season 4 is near is end and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) continues fighting his cruel father Rowan Pope (Joe Morton). However her team has any success in spite of Olivia’s wisdom, Huck’s knowledge of espionage (Guillermo Diaz), Jake Ballard’s bravery (Scott Foley), and the efforts of Quinn (Katie Lowes), Joshua (David Rosen), and Charlie (George Newbern).

In the last episode titled ‘First Lady Sings the Blues’, the team taking down B613 was in serious danger, and were forced to take drastic measures to ensure their safety. They have a new enemy, Olivia’s current lover Harrison Wright (Columbus Short). He is another assassin sent by her father to kill the witnesses of the old crimes that he ordered commit as B613 commander. Wright has already proven his effectiveness stabbing Jake. Will he survive?

Why cannot Olivia Pope defeat her father? Why he always ends up laughing at her cruelly? The answer could be simple if we think about the fact that he is her father and feelings are too strong in the family area.

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and her team

However, Olivia has an ace in the hole, although she is terrified about using… her! Yes, the ace is her own mother Maya Lewis/Pope (Khandi Alexander). She knows Rowan Pope’s weaknesses and she is so dangerous and ruthless as Mr. Pope. Poor Olivia! What kind of parents are they?

In her current situation, Maya needs a treat and Olivia could take advantage of it. But… she is her mother and she does not want to face her and recall the terrible events of the past. We are talking about the unconscious, which always betrays us.

Only two episodes are left, and the finale is precisely titled ‘You Can’t Take Command.’ Will Olivia get to defeat her father? Will she overcome her fears? Will she face her mother for once?
