Outlander TV show. Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) is confused. Who would you prefer a sexy warrior as Jamie Fraser (actor Sam Heughan) or an egghead as Frank Randall (actor Tobias Menzies)? Yes, no doubts for you or me, but she is irresolute!
Outlander is amazing. Setting, plot, performance, costumes, battles… I love everything! However, I’m intrigued about Claire Randall’s (now Claire Fraser) feelings. Why is it so hard for her to make a decision about her loving future?
It seems she loves two very different men. Her former husband Frank Randall, a teacher from Oxford who lives in 1945, and her current spouse Jamie Fraser, a Scottish warrior from the 18th century.
Frank is punctual, polite, studious, dull and ugly. Jamie is fun, bold, brave, generous and handsome. However, she still wants to return to the 20th century and to meet Frank again.
I figure out having a traumatic experience as Claire. Being transported to Scotland in a tunnel of time and roll back 200 years! Dramatic! However, once you adapts to your new life and you have an incredible lover as Jamie, why to return to 1945?
Life in Scotland in 1743 was hard, but she is not a silly girl but a nurse of the IIWW. Then, the excuse of the war is not enough to prefer the 20th century. Also, Frank looks like his ancestor Jonathan ‘Black Jack’ Randall, and this one wants to rape her. He is a hateful man and looking at his face, you remember Frank, who is also turning into a violent man as we could see in episode 9, “The Reckoning.”
Then, I cannot understand Claire, can you? Tell me your opinion now, please!
