The word geek is a slang term initially used to describe eccentric people. Although often considered as a pejorative, the word is also used without malice or as a source of pride. Someone interested in a subject which is usually intellectual or complex.

1.- The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It premiered on CBS on September 24, 2007. The eighth season premiered on September 22, 2014. The show focus on five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, both physicists at Caltech; Penny, a waitress; and Leonard and Sheldon’s equally geeky friends and co-workers, Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali.
2.- Bones is an American crime procedural comedy-drama television series that premiered on Fox in the United States on September 13, 2005. The series was renewed for a tenth season that premiered on September 25, 2014. It stars Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and David Boreanaz as Seeley Booth: FBI Special Agent.
3.- Beauty & The Beast is an American television series, very loosely inspired by the 1987 CBS series of the same name, created by Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin that premiered October 11, 2012 on The CW. On February 13, 2015, the series was renewed for a fourth season, ahead of the season three premiere. It stars Kristin Kreuk as Catherine Chandler, Jay Ryan as Vincent Keller, and their friendly geeky friend J.T. Forbes (actor Austin Basis).
4.- MythBusters is a science entertainment television program created by Peter Rees and produced by Australia’s Beyond Television Productions for the Discovery Channel. MythBusters refers both to the name of the documentary and also the cast members who test the experiments. The show’s hosts, special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, Internet videos, and news stories.
5. Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series created by Tim Kring that appeared on NBC for four seasons (2006 – 2010). The series tells the stories of normal people who discover superhuman abilities, and how these abilities take effect in the characters. A 13-episode miniseries entitled Heroes Reborn will premiere on NBC in 2015. Don’t you love Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, an office worker who can manipulate space-time.
