Spring 2015. Coeur d’Alene, ID. The Inland Northwest Food Network is proud to kick off spring with their latest ‘Chew On This!’ program – Get Growing: Garden Strategies for the Urban Dweller.
The program will showcase a variety of ways that urban dwellers can participate in growing their own food including: patio gardens; square foot gardens; community gardens; and fullscale home gardens.
Guest panelists include:
• Barbara Arnold (Nothing But Herbs – large scale gardens).
• Tracie Babor (square foot gardening).
• Steve Brooks (Gathering Garden).
• Tucker Marcheso (raised beds).
• Darryl Stiegemeier (patio gardening).
• Carrie Trojan (Dalton Gardens and Blooms – seed starting & soil prep).
In addition, representatives from the University of Idaho Extension Master Gardeners.
Program and the Rose City Garden Club will be on hand to share their resources.
We are also thrilled to announce that award-winning Coeur de Breizh Crepes will be serving up their fantastic crepes, along with a small salad, prior to the start of the formal program. Cost of the event is $5 and includes both dinner and the program. Additional crepes can be ordered for $4/each.
