Ian Somerhalder last film is The Anomaly (2014), and interesting movie which was poorly received by critics. The Observer called it “ambitious but uneven.” But, it has some good points and Somerhalder is perfect in his role.

1.- The Anomaly is a 2014 science fiction action thriller film directed by Noel Clarke.

2.- Noel Anthony Clarke is an English actor, screenwriter and director. He appeared in and wrote the screenplay for Kidulthood and wrote, directed and starred in the sequel, Adulthood, which gained £1,209,319 from the opening weekend of its release.

3.- The Anomaly is set in a futuristic time involving a battle over control of the mind and of cutting-edge biotechnology. A good idea with amazing sets. Very aesthetic!

4.- The film stars Noel Clarke, Ian Somerhalder, Alexis Knapp and Brian Cox.

5.- The plot focus on traumatised ex-soldier Ryan Reeve (Noel Clarke), who battles a conspiracy known as “Anomaly” led by Harkin Langham (Ian Somerhalder) and his father Dr. Langham (Brian Cox), to free his mind.

6.- Ian Somerhalder describes the film as a blend of Memento meets The Bourne Identity.

7.- The film was produced in the UK in 2013. The first official trailer was released on 19 April 2014, and entered general release in the United Kingdom through Universal Pictures on 4 July.
