Join us for a casual 3rd Friday open studios and visit 40 artists housed in the visually breathtaking 500,000 sq. ft. Bridgeport Art Center (BAC), 1200 W. 35th St. Artists and designers invite visitors into their studios to view and discuss their artistic process in an intimate setting. Meet painters, sculptors, photographers, designers, many of whom will be doing demonstrations. A highlight of the evening is BAC’s third annual juried art competition exhibit. View the many unique pieces like the best of show, Alejandro Zespo Velazquez’s (24) Self Portrait, oil on canvas. The show ends April 5th.

Be sure to visit our 5th Floor Fashion Design Center to see the latest fashions and meet those who create them.

There will also be an hour long bee keeping class on the lower level conducted by Rob Hicks, a well known Chicago bee keeper. Hosted by resident artist, Gary ‘Hal’ Link says, “this is a great way to help the environment, learn new skills, and meet others with a love for Bees.” The class is set up on Meet up Chicago:

Admission is free and doors open at 6:00PM. Free parking is available on the north side of the building; the perfect combination for a Chicago Friday Night. Don’t miss out! For additional information please visit or email
