The major new appointment will help drive new innovation across Theorem’s global media services portfolio to maintain & grow its market position
London, 3rd February 2015 – Global full-service digital marketing specialist Theorem yesterday announced the appointment of industry veteran Nicholas Strauss as Vice-President of Digital Strategy. The move is designed to accelerate Theorem’s digital strategy by driving new innovation across the company’s full range of services.
The new organisation-wide role reports directly to CEO Jay Kulkarni. Strauss will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and developing strategies that will fuel Theorem’s growth, competitive position, and success in a highly dynamic and fast-moving business environment. He will also lead his team in developing digital solutions tailored to clients’ specific needs.
Strauss has been at the forefront of the digital marketplace for over 17 years, most recently serving as Director of Sales and Business Development at Verizon Digital Media (VDM). He helped establish VDM as a strategic business unit within its telecommunications giant parent, Verizon – building its customer footprint and growing relationships with a broad range of leading brands. He was instrumental in launching VDM’s live, linear and on-demand video platform as well as its e-commerce solutions, and integrating various company acquisitions that solidified VDM’s position as a leading digital media services provider.
Prior to his time at Verizon, Strauss was a senior advisor with Deloitte Consulting. He has also served as a senior executive with Mediacom Communications and in consulting roles at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and Booz Allen Hamilton. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s of Public Administration from the George Washington University School of Business and Public Management.
Of Strauss’s appointment, Kulkarni, Theorem’s founder, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Nick to Theorem. His vast experience and deep knowledge in the digital field is a perfect fit with our company’s strategy to serve as a global, industry-leading, full-service digital marketing provider and partner to great companies around the world.
Nick has a wealth of experience of transforming companies into leading digital brands and is ideally positioned to help us accelerate our own digital strategy, by continuously innovating with ‘must-use’ digital solutions across all of our media services. We couldn’t have chosen a better evangelist.”
“I’m joining at a very exciting time for the business,” added Strauss. “ Theorem has created a robust platform from which to deliver high impact solutions for our clients. As the digital ecosystem gets more complex however, we need to keep pace with new innovations and continue crafting fresh offerings to stay ahead of the curve.”
