Actress Kaya Scodelario. Then things you should know about the new star of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’!

1.- Kaya Scodelario was born in Haywards Heath on 13 March 1992. She is an English actress.

2.- Her mother, Katia Scodelario, is Brazilian, and moved to England in 1990.

3.- With no prior acting experience, at the age of 14, Kaya Scodelario was cast in the 2007 first series of Skins as Effy Stonem.

4.- Her character developed significantly in Skins during 2008, before she eventually became the central character in the 2009 and 2010 series after the cast had been replaced with a new generation of characters.

5.- Kaya Scodelario made her film debut in the science fiction-thriller film Moon.

6.- She has modeled for various magazines, including Teen Vogue, Nylon, Instyle UK, Elle UK, Dazed & Confused, Vogue and i-D. Also, she appears in music videos.

7.- Height: 5 ft 6 in or 168 cm. Weight: 55 kg or 121 pounds.

8.- In 2014, she stars in The Maze Runner, and American science fiction dystopian action thriller film directed by Wes Ball. Based on James Dashner’s 2009 novel of the same name, the film is the first installment in The Maze Runner film series.

9.- Jerry Bruckheimer, through his Twitter account, has just announced that Kaya Scodelario will be star in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.’ He is delighted to have the “talented young actress from Skins and The Maze Runner”.

10.- Kaya Scodelario suffers from dyslexia: “Watching an interesting doc on BBC Three about dyslexia, something that I have struggled with my whole life. It really affected my self-esteem.”
