At 6:30PM on Monday 26 January 2015, AuthorCraft Surreywill be inviting local authors to meet at The Keep, 29 Castle Street, Guildford GU1 3UW for the first time to discuss issues facing published and aspiring authors.

The meeting, which is free, will look at book planning and encourage writers to make a living from their craft. It will be led by Haslemere-based Richard White, who has published two books and will soon release a third with a major publisher.

Richard, a sales coach and industry expert, has written a book called The Accidental Salesman. It explains that anyone in the professional services industry needs to be a salesperson in order to grow their business.

He is a sales improvement consultant who specialises in working with consultants and trusted advisers, and is passionate about supporting people in building a thriving and scalable business based on their expertise and know-how.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Richard said, “AuthorCraft is a group that helps both published and aspiring authors to make a profitable career from their work.

“Whether they have not yet started writing a book or would like help pushing their book to the next level, this meeting will allow authors to share advice and talk through problems.

“It’s a great way to meet like-minded writers and people in different stages of the publishing process, and get insight and support in a friendly and casual environment.”

AuthorCraft is a fast-growing organisation and has launched successful ventures across the UK, with chapters in Nottingham, Stevenage, Croydon, London Euston and Guildford.

The meeting will take the format of a roundtable forum, with two authors partaking in spotlight sessions to progress their book projects.

Networking amongst writers has proven to be a useful practice. There is always something to learn from another author, and conversations about book ideas can provide inspiration.

The event is free but participants are invited to register here.
