The Science of Cooking by Peter Barham

In partnership with the Coeur d’Alene Public Library, the Inland Northwest Food Network (INFN) presents a monthly book club open to anyone interested n food and all things food related.

INFN is working to ‘In-Farm-You’ about local food systems, while recognizing and honoring the interconnectedness of this place we call home. INFN is a collective of individuals, organizations, businesses and others committed to growing a resilient environmentally responsible and cohesive regional food system. Their vision is to develop a healthy, sustainable, fair and accessible local food system.

January’s book is “The Science of Cooking” by Peter Barham, which explores how the understanding of chemistry and physics of cooking, should lead to improvements in the kitchen. Copies of the book can be reserved at the CDA Public Library.
