Star Wars 7 & Daisy Ridley

Star Wars 7. Daisy Ridley plays a new character named Rey in the upcoming movie: Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. What do you know about this beautiful actress? Today, ten things you should know:

1.- Daisy Ridley was born on April 10, 1992, in Westminster, London.

2.- Ridley’s mother, Louise Fawkner-Corbett, works in internal communications and her father, Chris Ridley, is a photographer.

3.- She attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, graduating in 2010.

4.- Ridley has appeared in TV shows such as ‘Casualty’, ‘Youngers’, ‘Silent Witness’ and ‘Mr Selfridge’. Also, in the short film Blue Season, which was entered into the Sci-Fi-London 48-Hour Film Challenge.

5.- She played the lead role in film three of Lifesaver directed by Martin Percy.

6.- In February 2014, she was chosen to play Rey, one of the lead characters in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’

7.- It was announced in April 2014. It seems that director J. J. Abrams wished to repeat the casting of relatively unknown actors for the lead roles in Star Wars 7 like George Lucas did with the first Star Wars film in 1977.

“As a kid, ‘Star Wars’ was much more my thing than ‘Star Trek’ was… ‘Star Trek’ was always a little bit closed emotionally. I never connected to the characters.” J. J. Abrams.

8.- Her agency is Creative Artists from October 2014.

9.- Her agency had listed her as being 170cm tall.

10.- She is also a jazz singer, dancer and swimmer.

** The Force Awakens (Star Wars 7) is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015. It landed atop Fandango’s list of most-anticipated films of 2015.

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time.
