Jurassic World, Velociraptor Dinosaur, and upcoming films. Jurassic World is an action, adventure, sci-fi movie scheduled to be released on June 12, 2015.
Jurassic World 2015 movie is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. Steven Spielberg, director of the series’ first two films, will act as executive producer as he did for the third film.
Today, ten things you should know about a Velociraptor:
1.- Velociraptor means swift seizer.
2.- They lived approximately 75 to 71 million years ago during the later part of the Cretaceous Period.
3.- Velociraptor was a bipedal carnivore with a long tail and an enlarged sickle-shaped claw on each hind-foot.
4.- Also, he had long and low skull, with an upturned snout.
5.- Velociraptor is well known to paleontologists, with about a dozen described fossil skeletons.
6.- In the Jurassic Park motion picture series, it was much larger than it was in reality and without feathers.

7.- Two species of Velociraptors are currently recognized. V. mongoliensis: fossils of this species have been discovered in Mongolia. And V. osmolskae, from Inner Mongolia, China.
8.- Though pretty unknown before the release of Crichton’s Jurassic Park. Now, Velociraptor has become a popular representative of dinosaurs.
9.- For example, in 1995 the city of Toronto named its new NBA expansion team the Raptors.
