Game of Thrones Season 5 will adapt material from A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, the fourth and fifth novels in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. We’ll know new characters and meet old ones. How will they have changed? For example, Arya Stark (actress Maisie Williams.)

Arya Stark is one of the characters of Game of Thrones who has evolved over time. In Season 1, she was a naughty girl. In Season 2 and Season 3, she was a brave teenager disguised as a boy to hide her noble heritage. And in Season 4, her personality started to show a dark side. Traveling with The Hound in search of her family, she has turned into a young woman who is more than capable of taking care of herself.

When season 5 begins, Arya Stark won’t be in Westeros anymore, but across the Narrow Sea in the free city of Braavos. Thus, she wouldn’t need her boyish disguise, so ugly and dirty.

Costume designer Michele Clapton believed that it was time to give Arya a look that would reflect her new location as well as her status as a young woman.

Precisely, Maisie Williams loves this new look: “very neutral, very plain, but clean!”

And you? What do you think? Take a look at Arya’s new costume design and let us know what you think of it!
