Endangered Species. The white rhino is on the edge of extinction after the death of Suni, one of seven rhinos left in the world. The chances of survival of this species hit by poaching, are almost nonexistent.
Suni was 34 years old, and was the first northern white rhino born in captivity in Dvur Kralove Zoo in the Czech Republic. However, from 2009 Suni lived in the Ol Pejeta conservation park in Kenya, along with another male and two females.
The rangers found Suni dead in the park. Veterinarians have not clarified the reasons, but they say that Suni wasn’t a victim of poaching.
Anyway, poaching and smuggling of ivory and rhino horn are the main threats to this species.

The only way to save a rhinoceros is to save the environment in which it lives, because there’s a mutual dependency between it and millions of other species of both animals and plants. David Attenborough.
What is a fish without a river? What is a bird without a tree to nest in? What is an Endangered Species Act without any enforcement mechanism to ensure their habitat is protected? It is nothing. Jay Inslee.
Well, I think breathing life into the Endangered Species Act, taking those wolves back into Yellowstone, restoring the salmon in the rivers of the Pacific Northwest. Bruce Babbitt.
People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Janet Jackson.
