Easigrass at Holly’s birthday party

Geordie Shore, the hit MTV entertainment series featuring local Newcastle household lads and lasses such as Holly, Vicky, Charlotte and Gaz, returned to our screens this October 2014, with one very special addition – namely Easigrass artificial grass at Holly’s birthday party.

In episode two of the new series produced by Lime Pictures for MTV, which aired on 4th November 2014, the housemates enjoyed a specially themed party to celebrate Holly’s birthday and Easi-green was the order of the day.

Local artificial grass business, Easigrass North East, headed up by Hebburn-born John Devlin, 33, is proud to have assisted Geordie Shore with an Easigrass installation over the Summer.

Commenting on working with Geordie Shore’s production company, Lime Pictures, John said:-

“Geordie Shore is synonymous with The Tyne and local heritage so of course Easigrass North East offered to help support filming of this secret party, back in Summer 2014. It was a pleasure working with Lime Pictures.

“Easigrass has extensive appeal for use both inside and out so providing cut-out shapes for tables and party decorations added a splash of high-impact Easi-green to the set. As with each and every installation undertaken by Easigrass North East, we want to help create an Easi-Life.”

Managing Director of Easigrass Distribution throughout the UK, Anthony J. Gallagher, added:-

“As a NE local myself, I support Pride of The Tyne and am 100% behind Easigrass North East’s commitment and professionalism. There is no other product like Easigrass within the artificial grass sector and I am proud to work with partners like John Devlin and his team.”

Lime Pictures’ Jaime Whitnell, part of the production team for MTV’s Geordie Shore, said:-

“Easigrass North East was a delight to work with when filming Holly’s fairy-themed birthday party for MTV’s Geordie Shore. The Easigrass was mostly used for topping a kitchen island and tables to create the enchanted forest theme. The Easigrass looked fantastic and really helped create the feel we wanted.”

Easigrass North East is headed up by landscaping industry expert, John Devlin. With a current team of nine people, John is set to expand further by January 2015 with the launch of the region’s first artificial grass showroom. The Easigrass North East business portfolio includes residential installations, as well as a trade and commercial customer base. Recent work includes an installation at the MetroCentre, Gateshead.

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time.
