London, 4th November 2014: BullGuard, an award-winning global provider of antivirus and mobile security solutions for the consumer market, has announced the launch of its next generation Internet Security software.

Stops Unwanted Applications

Internet Security introduces a proactive and unique form of browser protection designed to safeguard users from unwanted software that can cause undesirable changes to their system. By taking a heuristic approach to detection, unwanted apps can be identified, blocked and removed consistently and effectively, ensuring a smooth browsing experience that is not compromised by unwanted software.

Class-leading performance and protection

Internet Security continues its trend of offering the very best security without compromising system performance. BullGuard’s suite has achieved perfect scores from AV-TEST for both detection and performance, and has achieved a VB100 rating from Virus Bulletin 21 consecutive times. This multi-layered defence has now been improved even further, and incorporates an intelligent Resource Monitor that ensures the software does not affect performance regardless of system specification.

Regular updates introduce new key features

BullGuard has also taken a unique and dynamic approach to Internet Security by providing regular feature and performance updates throughout the licence period. BullGuard’s customers benefit from dedication to constant improvement that has seen a number of new features introduced over the last year, ensuring that its software remains at the forefront of advanced security.

These include weekly reports, which allow users to see at a glance what threats BullGuard has protected against each week, including those blocked by the firewall, parental controls and spam filter. This information is presented with straightforward graphics to provide a summary of how the software is working to protect the system.

The clean, intuitive interface has also been enhanced to make it even easier to access the range of tools and control core functions, with more visible notifications and progress bars informing of any ongoing scans or checks.

Improved antispam and antiphishing protection, a revised firewall and tweaks to PC Tune Up and Safe Browsing tools make Internet Security even more intuitive and easy to use, and with a number of new features and improvements planned over the coming months, customers will continue to receive new tools to enhance protection going forward.

“Achieving record scores in independent tests for our antivirus tools and overall performance hasn’t prevented us from finding even more ways to enhance our award-winning software,” said Alex Balan, Head of Product Management at BullGuard. “We’ve continued to tweak and improve Internet Security to push these high standards even further, and importantly many of these improvements have come as a result of listening to the people who matter most – our customers. We’re confident that with this unique approach we can continue to deliver the most comprehensive and fully-featured security suite of its kind on the market.”

BullGuard Internet Security is available for £49.95 for up to three users, with free upgrades to new versions. For more information please visit
