NYC Indie Film Festival starts today until October 19 2014. Jose del Rio presents ‘Bach in Madrid’, a documentary about the major cultural event (duration and quality), which took place in Madrid, Spain, in recent years.
Thus, between the years 2004 and 2012, the orchestra and choir of La Capilla Real de Madrid played in the churches of Madrid the integral of Johannes Sebastian Bach’s Cantatas and sacred works. Bach’s music reached all districts of the city, from the most humble to the most touristic ones, in the form of free concerts. More than 70,000 people attended the recitals in which nearly 600 musicians participated. The documentary “Bach in Madrid” followed the course of this cycle in its last two seasons and got into the lives of the musicians and organizers of an event that marked a milestone in the history of the city, and of Spain.
