Guildford author Tom Evans

‘A modern day mystic, a healer, a 21st century philosopher, a temporal alchemist and the wizard of light bulb moments’. These are just some of the many ways in which Guildfordian author Tom Evans has been described throughout his eclectic career.

He will be speaking at the AuthorCraft Surrey meeting in Guildford on October 27 at 6:30PM, a local support group for authors and aspiring authors.

The event costs £15 and represents a unique experience for authors and aspiring authors wishing to open their minds to new ways of thinking and receive some vital creative stimulus. As a local, this meeting will have added poignancy for Tom as he inspires the next wave of gifted authors from the area.

As well as addressing issues of motivation and how to stay in ‘the zone’, Tom will be passing on his wisdom about how to write a book that readers will not be able to put down. He has helped thousands of authors overcome writers block with his unique motivational talent and his ability to boost creative thought.

He will explain why less than 10% of readers actually finished A Brief History of Time. Discover how Dan Brown makes his novels guilty pleasures, and learn how Ronnie Corbett constructs his shaggy dog stories.

Tom studied electric engineering before working as a BBC television engineer for 20 years and in the Internet industry for a further ten. His career then changed direction dramatically.

In his mid-40s, he discovered meditation and began to write books on a number of subjects including self-help and personal development, philosophical futurology and metaphysical exploration. Over his career, he has written ten books and is a successful full-time author.

As well as being an author, Tom is an authors’ mentor and writers’ unblocker, specialising in motivation. Alongside his own writing, he has been constantly helping other authors to boost their creativity.

He hosts the popular podcast The Zone Show, which explores the way in which we get into, and stay in, ‘the zone’, and has written a book on the subject: The Zone: How to Get in It and Stay in It. Tom will delve into his unique understanding of ‘the zone’, as well as demonstrating how to entrance readers by ‘writing in trance’.

Speaking is another of Tom’s key strengths, and past talks have led to brilliant client testimonials, such as ‘Tom is a 21st century oracle and source of pure guidance’ and ‘If you have a one-to-one with Tom or attend one of his talks, expect magic to come into your life’.

This is an unmissable event for any aspiring or established Surrey-based author whether you’re looking for motivation and creative inspiration, or simply want to hear a gifted author speak. Tickets are available here.
