Hell on Wheels season 4. Will Naomi Bohannon become a suffragette? This is quite possible!
Recently, Yareah magazine published a news explaining who was the real John Campbell, first governor of Wyoming territory.
“Hell on Wheels season 4. Actor Jake Weber plays the role as Governor John Campbell, enemy of Mr Durant because he was also the overseer of the Union Pacific railroad… John Allen Campbell approved the first law in United States history explicitly granting women the right to vote…” Read more here.
Then and since Hell on Wheels follows the important historical events of those times, they cannot forget this fact. However, they need to prepare the atmosphere and for now, Cheyenne is not a place of suffragettes but a town of illiterate woman, most of them prostitutes.
Eva (astress Robin McLeavy) is brave, one of my favorite characters, and can support the movement, but she cannot be its leader. Eva cannot read or write and is more interested in playing poker than in political speeches.
Ruth Cole (Kasha Kropinski) would be the natural leader. Currently, she is already a religious leader, respected by Mr Durant and Cullen Bohannon, and she has shown her strength facing her father, her boyfriends, and above all helping the sick during the cholera.
However, Ruth needs feminine followers, who can be future suffragettes. Why not Naomi Bohannon? Naomi is another strong woman, she has some intellectual preparation, and is ambitious. I think she will not stay long in obedience to her husband, the independent Cullen Bohannon. Furthermore, Cullen Bohannon needs a more challenging wife, and this would greatly improve the script.
Then, I think that Naomi Bohannon will become a suffragette in upcoming episodes.
