Nice in France is a paradise. Members of the royal family of Monaco, for example Princess Caroline, Pierre and Charlotte Casiraghi or actresses as Eva Longoria chose this jewel of the French Riviera as a holiday destination.

In fact, Nice is the second most visited city in France after Paris, because the town is a benchmark of luxury tourism, and it’s famous by its spectacular beaches. Also, Nice is considered as a spa town.

The city is called Nice la Belle. It means Nice the Beautiful, and this is also the title of the unofficial anthem of Nice, written by Menica Rondelly in 1912.

Nice has the second largest hotel capacity in France, receiving 4 million tourists every year. It also has the third busiest airport in France after the two main Parisian ones.

Geographically, Nice consists of two large bays: Villefranche-sur-Mer sits on an enclosed bay, and the main bay where is placed the city.

The natural vegetation of Nice is typical for a Mediterranean landscape. Palms, eucalyptus and citrus fruits give Nice a subtropical exotic appearance. But there are also horse chestnut, linden and Norway spruce.
