Bedtime story for today: Rapunzel. Do you remember that idiom “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair”? Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you! Summer is exciting!
Rapunzel is a German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. It was first published in 1812 as part of Children’s and Household Tales. However, The Grimm Brothers story is an adaptation of the tale Persinette by Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force, which was originally published in 1698.
Enjoy the tale and good night!
“Maybe the witch thought she was protecting Rapunzel, not punishing her. Maybe she thought that if Rapunzel was locked away, no one could ever hurt her. Maybe the witch kept Rapunzel because she loved her, because she was scared that if other people could get to Rapunzel, they would hurt her.” By Alyssa B. Sheinmel, The Beautiful Between.
