Hair loss. Not bald anymore!!!! People can be happy today because researchers at Yale University have gotten that a 25 year old man were not bald anymore. Congratulations!
Thanks to Tofacitinib citrate, a drug approved in 2012 by the U.S. FAD for the treatment of arthritis, Kyle Rhodes, who was diagnosed with alopecia universalis and psoriasis, has gotten his head, eyebrows, eyelashes and underarm again being hair.
“It’s definitely nice to have eyebrows again,” Kyle Rhodes said.
The study, published in “Journal of Investigative Dermatology“, explains how Kyle Rhodes began to show a slight improvement in his psoriasis while hair began to be born after two months taken 10 mg. of tofacitinib citrate daily. Three months later, with 15 mg per day, the young man had hair on the head, eyebrows, eyelashes and armpits.
“I never had a problem when (I had) a bald head,” Kyle Rhodes said. “I didn’t look bad bald, but I did miss having eyebrows.” He lost those at 18.
“The results are exactly what we expected,” said Dr. Brett A. King, professor of dermatology at the School of Medicine at Yale University. “We have taken a big step… We believe that we can get the same results in other patients,” he added.
Dr. Brett A. King said that for those who suffer from alopecia (hair loss) that is caused by an auto-immune disorder, particularly those who lose eyebrows and eyelashes, it’s devastating. Now, they have a hope.
Remember that alopecia caused by an auto-immune disorder affects women too.
Congratulations again, science never ceases to surprise pleasantly, and it helps us to achieve a better future.
