Game of Thrones season 4 episode 9, ‘The Watchers on the Wall’, was absolutely thrilling!

Screenplay structure was quite different to other episodes, where HBO mixed main characters and their stories, going from one place to another one.

Game of Thrones season 4 episode 9 was focus on Jon Snow and on The Wall. About 100 Watchers must defend Castle Black against 10,000 wildlings, several giants and a woolly mammoth. It’s a huge battle with fantastic effects and epic moments. Woow!

Game of Thrones episode 8, ‘The Mountain and the Viper’, finished with Tyrion Lannister sentenced to death. His champion, Prince Oberyn, was killed by The Mountain.

Thus, on Sunday we were waiting to see Tyrion Lannister escaping from King’s Landing, and perhaps joining The Night’s Watch. In fact, Tyrion would be the perfect counselor for Jon Snow.

However, Tyrion doesn’t appear in episode 9, and Jon Snow is alone. Still more when the head of Castle Black is killed by the wildlings. Now, Castle Black has no Lord Commander and we could think that Jon Snow would be named it remaining in Castle Black.

But episode 9 finishes when Jon goes out of The Wall in search of Mance. Jon thinks that the only way to defeat the wildlings is killing their leader and breaking apart tribes and groups.

Then, for the moment, Jon Snow future is to be alone beyond The Wall. Maybe with Ghost (I’m also worried about Ghost future). Afterwards? Will Jon died in episode 10? We should remember that seasons 1, 2 and 3 have finished with the epic deaths of different main characters (Starks above all). Maybe in the next episode (and final), we can see what we expected in this one. Tyrion Lannister escaping from King’s Landing and meeting Jon.

It would be interesting! The smartest and the bravest together! And it would be necessary, because not only do they have to defeat the wildlings but also The White Walkers.

By the way, when are we going to know about Jon Snow mother?

What do you think? I would like that the fate joins Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister.
