New princesses for new times: Princess Leonor, the eldest daughter of current Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias, is a perfect example.
Yes, it seems that pretty princesses in ballrooms are old-fashioned.
Yesterday, the Spanish Minister of Defense Pedro Morenés announced that Infanta Leonor (soon Princess Leonor of Asturias), the sweet daughter of Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia, born on 31 October 2005 in Madrid (Spain), will receive military training in the future.
Current King of Spain Juan Carlos I is abdicating on June 19 2014. Thus, Prince Felipe of Asturias will be the new Spanish king (King Felipe VI) and his pretty eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, heiress to the throne of Spain.
In Spain, and according to its Constitution of 1978, the Head of the Army is the king or queen. Then, as Princess Leonor will be Queen of Spain one day, she is going to receive military training, as her father and grandfather did.
There is no doubt that everything is peculiar in Spain. The Constitution of 1978 favors men over women to rule the country. If Princess Leonor had a brother he would reign, although he was younger. However and for the moment, they are planning her future as Head of the Spanish Army.
Anyway, Princess Letizia little girl is really nice and friendly. Congratulations!
Princess Leonor of Asturias schooling for the time being:
Princess Leonor of Asturias began her education at the daycare for the children of the Spanish Royal Guard.
She began her first year of real schooling on 15 September 2008 at the Santa María de los Rosales School in Aravaca, near Madrid. Prince Felipe of Asturias is an ex-student of the school. Infanta Leonor younger sister, Sofia, is enrolled there too.
Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you!
