Of course and, as always, this is my personal opinion and this is a very subjective list. I have forgotten many great characters but I have chosen my Best Villains on Television. Here it is my list: The Swede, Joffrey Baratheon, Frank Underwood, Cersei Lannister, Patty Hewes

1.- The Swede, Thor Gundersen. Christopher Heyerdahl. Hell on Wheels

Best Villains on Television. The Swede, Thor Gundersen. Christopher Heyerdahl. Hell on Wheels

Christopher Heyerdahl has been born in British Columbia, Canada on September 18, 1963. He has appeared in many television shows but, for me, his role on Hell on Wheels is one of the most fantastic villains I’ve ever seen… a mix between religion and madness, a true villain. Congratulations to Christopher Heyerdahl for his brilliant portrayal.

In the beginning, there was blood. The land demands it. Every new land demands blood and we relent. It is our nature. We after all, animals. In our arrogance we forget this but in the end we rise from the land only to return.

2.- Joffrey Baratheon, Jack Gleeson. Game of Thrones.

Best Villains on Television: Joffrey Baratheon, Jack Gleeson. Game of Thrones.

Best Villains on Television: Joffrey Baratheon, Jack Gleeson. Game of Thrones.

Games of Thrones is a total success and Joffrey Baratheon is, of course, part of this success. King’s Landing had many bad kings but Joffrey Baratheon was, maybe, the worst one. This role remembers me Roman emperor from 37 AD to 41 AD. He was heartless, cruel and bloodthirsty as King Joffrey. Jack Gleeson created a great character and he deserves our Top#2 Villains on television.

Everyone is mine to torment! You’d do well to remember that, you little monster.

Joffrey Baratheon

I am the king! I will punish you.

Joffrey Baratheon

3.- Frank Underwood. Kevin Spacey. House of Cards

Best Villains on Television: Frank Underwood. Kevin Spacey. House of Cards

Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright is one of the most scaring couples on television. They have no scruples and they want the power. If you are in Washington, you cannot hide from them because they can control everything in politics. Behind the curtains, they rule on everything. They are bad and they want the power. We are waiting for season three, the first two seasons were fantastic. Congratulations for such a fantastic series and congratulations to Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright for such a fantastic characters.

A great man once said, everything is about sex. Except sex. Sex is about power.

Frank Underwood

Democracy is so overrated.

Frank Underwood

4.- Cersei Lannister. Lena Headey. Game of Thrones.

Lena Headey is the English actress who plays the role as Cersei Lannister in HBO’s television series Game of Thrones. She is bad and her little boy was King Joffrey, murdered in the season four. Lena Headey creates a true character and her relationships with her brothers are, at least, a little turbulent. Congratulations to Lena Headey for such a great role. By the way, I have a friend who is really in love with Lena Headey. She has many fans  😛

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

Cersei, to Eddard Stark

Jaime and I are more than brother and sister. We are one person in two bodies. We shared a womb together. He came into this world holding my foot, our old maester said. When he is in me, I feel… whole.

Cersei, to Eddard Stark

5.- Patty Hewes. Glenn Close. Damages

She is an attorney in the most dangerous city for business and she is implacable. Her relationship with Ellen is strange and they are much more than a couple of colleagues. Her son, her husband, her whole family… she is ambitious and ambitious is power and ambition has a new name, Patty Hewes. Our Top#5 in our list is for her. Of course, Glenn Close is fantastic on her role, perfect as always. Congratulations to Glenn Close.

You will break his heart, and when you do, I’ll rip your face off.

Patty Hewes

Martin Cutler: If you were a man I’d kick the living dog-shit out of you.
Patty Hewes: If you were a man I’d be worried.

Well, that’s all for now. Have a nice day, dear friends. We hope you have enjoyed the list.

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September.
