Spring 2014 in New York. The Esoteric Gardens of Louis Benech Talk & Booksigning on Thursday, May 29 2014 at 7pm at FIAF (French Institute Alliance Français). ‘Twelve French Gardens.’
French garden designer Louis Benech (born on February 16, 1957) has gained an international reputation for the renovation of the Jardin des Tuileries at Paris in 1990 and to his contemporary reinterpretation of a Château de Versailles garden. His achievements are characterized by a desire to harmonize the landscape project and the natural environment of the site, creating perennial gardens, and combining the aesthetic plant ecosystem given to the use made of the garden and the technical constraints of maintenance.
Now, Benech will be at New York to share the philosophy that guides his unique garden design and more in this special talk celebrating the new book, Louis Benech: Twelve French Gardens. Save $5 on tickets when you use code BEES.
Moderated by Paula Deitz, garden writer & cultural critic. Talk in English. Followed by a book signing.
Venue: FIAF, Le Skyroom 22 East 60th Street New York, NY 10022.
