Baselworld 2014 has officially concluded. The eight outstanding show days brought together around 150,000 attendees enjoying the marvellous surroundings of internationally renowned and admired watch and jewellery brands, showcasing stunning new pieces. With a great enthusiasm from both exhibitors and visitors, the event was a huge success leaving everyone reinvigorated and optimistic for the year to come.
Organised each spring in the wonderful city of Basel in Switzerland, exhibitors from over 40 countries, including all of the top leading brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe and Tudor showcase their innovations and novelties to the world.
Internationally acclaimed watch brand, Patek Philippe, launched the 5270G in 2011, combining the functionality of a perpetual calendar with the chronograph calibre. Now for 2014, the model is launched with two new dial options, in silvery opaline and blue sunburst. A tachometer scale now circles the outside of the dial, whilst the hands and hour markers are featured in 18 carat gold.
Jacques J. Duchêne, President of the exhibitors committee said: “We are extremely satisfied with this year’s Baselworld. The exhibitors made a very good turnover and were positive about the media exposure that has aroused interest in the Baselworld 2014 event. Baselworld is and remains the unmissable show for the watch and jewellery industry.”
