Gardening. Potatoes at home and in your balcony

Gardening. Potatoes at home and in your balcony

Gardening. Potatoes at home! It’s easy to get a crop of potatoes at home. Even if you don’t have a garden. You only need a little terrace or balcony.

“My idea of heaven is a great big baked potato and someone to share it with.” Oprah Winfrey.

Firstly. Fill the interior of an old tire with 5 cm organic substrate and plant seed potatoes.

When the plants are 5 cm tall, put on another tire and fill your ‘tour’ with more organic substrate. Until potato plants are only 5 cm free.

You can repeat the process until constructing a tour of 4 or 5 tires.

The stem, once buried, becomes root and starts to show new lateral roots that produce more potatoes. So, you multiply your harvest tuber!

Furthermore, white and violet potato flowers are absolutely beautiful. A luxury for you balcony, garden or home.

Happy gardening!

Enjoy your day, Yareah friends. Art is everywhere and up to you! Spring has returned and we love these days!

“Open your eyes admiring the diversity of our planet. It’s the first step to start a positive relation with our blue Earth. Take your children to the countryside. You can have fun observing the beautiful birds, discovering new flowers or looking for bugs.” By Yareah magazine.

“My family lived off the land and summer evening meals featured baked stuffed tomatoes, potato salad, corn on the cob, fresh shelled peas and homemade ice cream with strawberries from our garden. With no air conditioning in those days, the cool porch was the center of our universe after the scorching days.” David Mixner.
