Scandal TV series is great. Great cast, plot, fashion style and also, great interior design. Olivia Pope home is gorgeous, but how about her office? The set designers went all out when they created Olivia office. There’s not a standard corner or piece of furniture in sight.

You come directly to the office from the elevator, an elevator with vintage doors. Then, you see a grand hall, absolutely Modernist, it could have been designed by Antonio Gaudí. Old iron beams, arches, hardwoods and Ad Hoc furniture. Are we in the 20s of last century? Some modern lamps absolutely deny it. It’s a perfect place to highlight Olivia and her team. She appears on stage, walking fast, confident… Her team walk behind her. No doubt, they are the most modern, the most prepared and bold. The contrast is perfect!

The meeting room is dominated by a glass, almost the window of an old cathedral. Her team uses it to stick notes and photos about cases they’re researching. What is the contrast here? The large table in the center. Looks like a piece of ground, striking powerfully.

Olivia personal office is more classic. But it also combines vintage furniture and abstract paintings, current conceptual art and Minimalist details: a coffee maker, a lamp, the frame of a photo…

The whole office is full of plants and flowers. I like the mix of brown furniture and green plants! Nature fills the space, except in one room, Huck room. Here, everything is messy, even dirty. There are so many computers and screens like in a science fiction movie. Huck’s room brings us into the 21st century, Olivia Pope team investigates on the web, in social networks, and uses blogs for its purposes.
