Luxury Shopping at Oitoemponto. Art and Antiques Fair in Lisbon. Promoted by the Associação Portuguesa dos Antiquários, happening between April 5th until 13th of 2014, at the premises of the Cordoaria Nacional.

The relationship of Oitoemponto with art is indivisible. In a history of 20 years of work, Jacques Bec and Artur Miranda, mentors Oitoemponto, elected Art and Antique pieces as essential bodies of their architectural and interior design luxury projects. Each piece has a story of life, each piece involves unique emotions.

Luxury shopping at Lisbon. This consanguinity is officially formalized with the launch of a new business area in the brand: Oitoemponto Art & Antiques, which will assume the functions of Art Buying and will manage the acquired pieces and resale for projects developed by Oitoemponto or other purposes. Through an intense research and international investigation, the pieces are acquired in the most prestigious sources, ensuring its authenticity and inestimable value.

The premiere is marked with the participation of Oitoemponto in the next edition of art and antiques fair in Lisbon, the Feira de Arte e Antiguidades de Lisboa, promoted by the Associação Portuguesa dos Antiquários, happening between April 5th until 13th of 2014, at the premises of the Cordoaria Nacional.

Among several pieces that will be exhibited, highlight an enamelled metal illuminated wall sconce designed by Itala Dela Mana and found in a 2500m2 apartment conceived by Dela Manna in 1959. A limited edition ceramic table lamp designed by Bruno Gambone in 1988, or a ceiling lamp designed by Angelo Lelli made of painted metal and tubular brass dating from the 50s.

Another piece coming from the same decade fulfills the animosity, a refined de T. H. Robsjonh Gibbings chiffonier made of solid walnut and nickel points. From the same author, a splendorous tripod dinner table dated from 1952.

A modern mid-century cabinet produced by Lane Furniture in the style of Paul Evans made of oak and wood mosaic. The “Cocktail” table dated of 1951 and designed by the charismatic Finn Juhl and produced by Baker Furniture. Adrian Pearsall alegra cheers with two elegant walnut lounge chairs and white upholstery. The painting “King of the Horseshoes” of the American-born James Brown recognized by its rough semi-figurative paintings with influences from primitive art and classical Western modernism.

As a counterpoint, it will be exhibited the “Composition Géométrique” carpet of Frank Stella dated 1968-69 and the iconic image of David Bowie & Kate Moss shot by Ellen Von Unwerth for Q Magazine in 2003. Emblematic pieces you may meet at the Oitoemponto space in the Feira de Arte e Antiguidades de Lisboa 2014, cordially painted with Barbot paints.
