Garden of Eden in a dreamworld by Echi Aaberg

Today, a new artwork by artist Echi Aaberg. This time, we can admire her particular vision of our lost Eden Garden… in a dream world! What is yours?

Do you remember Genesis words: “The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed… The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

Of course, mankind disobeyed and the result was a catastrophe.

“We don’t live in the Garden. We live far from Eden. Every life is full of heartaches. Every life, frankly, is unspeakably sad.” John Eldredge.

But there are different opinions about the meaning of this myth.

“The loss of Eden is personally experienced by every one of us as we leave the wonder and magic and also the pains and terrors of childhood.” Dennis Potter.

“There is a contest old as Eden, which still goes on – the conflict between right and wrong, between error and truth. In this conflict every human being has a part.” Matthew Simpson.

Even ironical opinions:

“Did perpetual happiness in the Garden of Eden maybe get so boring that eating the apple was justified?” Chuck Palahniuk.
