Designs from 35.DL, a new women’s online ready-to-wear collection by Andrea Cecile Cohen, founder of London based women’s retail brand number 35, and Dan Lawson, costume designer of CBS TV show, The Good Wife, will feature for the first time in the forthcoming fifth episode of the popular American TV series – to be screened on Channel 4 on Thursday 27, February.

The new collaborative collection will feature in many forthcoming episodes of the current television series and is now available to purchase online in both the UK and US at www.35dl.net

During filming of The Good Wife, leading actress Julianna Margulies who plays main character, Alicia Florrick, chose to wear a stylish grey suit from number 35’s collection for the fifth episode. The reason for her selection was because she loved the suit’s glamorous cut and felt it would be by far the most comfortable of all the options offered to her for the ten hour filming stint that she had to undertake that day.

Back in 2013 while researching fresh new styles for The Good Wife’s leading character Alicia Florrick played by Julianna Margulies, designer Dan Lawson was impressed by number 35’s beautifully tailored, elegant yet functional designs and chose a selection of pieces for use in episodes of season 4.

Discovering a great synergy in their ethos and styling, Andrea and Dan set about creating 35•DL, a collection that would reflect their shared vision of producing stylish and beautifully crafted clothing for the modern professional woman. Using luxurious fabrics and creating strong silhouettes, the new 35•DLcollection combines bold single colourways with feminine tailoring and is designed to adapt effortlessly from day to evening wear.

The 35•DLcollection, consisting of 18 styles with a choice of colourways includes dresses, jackets, tops, skirts and trousers with dress prices starting at £425 and jackets at £550.

Speaking of the collaboration Andrea Cecile Cohen said:”My aim was to create a collection that perfectly sculptured the female form, giving the wearer an inner sense of wellbeing and confidence.” Dan Lawson added, “Together we have designed a beautiful collection of necessary pieces that will complete every professional woman’s wardrobe.”

Number 35 which has two showrooms located at 46 Fulham Road and 50 Highgate West Hill was founded by Andrea Cecile Cohen in 2005. The company’s website is at www.no35.co.uk

As the cricket season draws to a close, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) can report a surge in popularity for guests seeking a full day of luxury hospitality at Lord’s during a Test Match in 2016. In the Home of Cricket’s most iconic venues – the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite – hospitality packages which included a hearty breakfast, sumptuous four-course lunch and luxury afternoon tea, sold out quickly for the first three days of the England v Sri Lanka and England v Pakistan Investec Test Matches. Private Boxes with the best views of the action for up to 18 guests also sold out fast for the same days. MCC revealed a sharp increase in revenue for its 2016 Sri Lanka Test Match hospitality packages compared with 2014 when the team last played England at Lord’s. Revenues for hospitality were up by nearly 30% over the same period in 2014 whilst private box sale revenues were up by a healthy 60%. Nick Kenton, MCC Head of Sales, Meetings & Events and Hospitality, said: “2016 has been a fantastic year for enjoying a day of cricket whilst experiencing the very best food, drink and hospitality that Lord’s has to offer. “This year’s sales figures show that hospitality packages at Lord’s were in huge demand and continue to be a key part of the summer sporting calendar.” Lord’s also expects high demand for its new hospitality packages, to be released this autumn for 2017 matches. These include England v South Africa from 6th to 10th July and England v West Indies from 7th to 11th September. Packages for the England v Ireland Royal London One-Day International on 7th May 2017 are also expected to sell out in record time. Details of all hospitality options at Lord’s can be found on its website
