Valentines Day is not good for everybody. Singles feel their loneliness more than ever. Then, if you are a desperate single remember this:
“Our language has wisely sensed the two sides of being alone. It has created the word loneliness to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word solitude to express the glory of being alone.” Paul Tillich.
Yes, because sometimes people with couple is not happier than you. Remember Anton Chekhow words: “If you are afraid of loneliness, do not marry.”
Because “Loneliness is never more cruel than when it is felt in close propinquity with someone who has ceased to communicate.” Germaine Greer.
In fact, not everyone has spoken bad about loneliness. For example, Henry Rollins: “Loneliness adds beauty to life. It puts a special burn on sunsets and makes night air smell better.” Or Anne Morrow Lindbergh: “The loneliness you get by the sea is personal and alive. It doesn’t subdue you and make you feel abject. It’s stimulating loneliness.”
Anyway, before starting drinking, remember you can enjoy music, write a poem, see a TV show or movie, go shopping, prepare a good dinner, take a walk, go to the gym, to meet with other singles… Summer will come soon!
Here, some people quotes who find loneliness productive:
Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness. Maya Angelou.
Why do I write? It’s not that I want people to think I am smart, or even that I am a good writer. I write because I want to end my loneliness. Jonathan Safran Foer.
My inspiration are the woman, friendship, and loneliness. Enrique Iglesias.
Writing is an antidote for loneliness. Steven Berkoff.
