Gulf Photo Plus at Dubai is pleased to present an exhibition of Gregory Heisler’s 50 Portraits that will feature all 50 images from his iconic and bestselling new book. The exhibition will feature evocative and powerful portraits of myriad personalities – from his famously controversial portrait of President George H.W. Bush to Yasser Arafat to stunning portraits of Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, Hillary Clinton, Michael Phelps, Muhammad Ali and many more.
Heisler has gained trust not only by way of his photographic talents, but also as a sought after speaker and educator, guiding and inspiring those who wish to follow in his footsteps. Heisler has taught at The Smithsonian Institute, the National Geographic Society and the International Center for Photography in addition to leading inspiring workshops.
The 50 Portraits exhibition opening night on March 6 will be the kick off event for GPP2014 Dubai’s Photography Festival now in its 10th year. Running March 7-14, Heisler is one of 14 world-class instructors leading workshops, talks, and seminars covering a variety of photography genres. Catering to a wide spectrum of photography backgrounds, amateurs and professionals alike will not want to miss this weeklong festival, which includes a series of talks and special events throughout the week.
Open to the public and free to attend, the exhibition opening night for 50 Portraits is March 6 from 7pm onward at the GPP gallery space in Alserkal Avenue.
