London’s Leading Textile & Rug Event Goes Global with the Launch of a Virtual Fair. Luxury and design!

The London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair, organised by London-based dealer Aaron Nejad, will return for its fourth annual event this Spring from 3-6 April 2014.  With a dozen leading specialists in rugs and textiles taking part, LARTA is the most important event of its kind in the UK, attracting collectors, interior designers and buyers looking for that special piece for their home. Antique Persian rug specialist Ornamentum Ltd from Surrey joins the 11 other regular Fair participants for the first time this year.

A new initiative for 2014 will be the launch of an online Virtual Fair which will go live at the same time as the Fair opens the evening of Thursday 3rd April.

Participants will be given their own gallery space on the LARTA website,, to display the stock they are bringing to the Fair. Web visitors will be able to contact each dealer direct during the Fair to buy or enquire after items, and the online gallery will indicate when items have sold.

Aaron Nejad, Organiser, comments on this development: “The LARTA Fair was created to be the UK’s major focal point for international collectors of rugs and textiles. Whilst many make the pilgrimage each year to view and buy in person from our exhibitors, we wanted to broaden our sales opportunities to a global level.  By creating a Virtual Fair, which can be viewed whilst the real-life event takes place, we can now invite all of our customers, wherever they are in the world, to see items for sale at any time of day or night – but with the excitement and anticipation that comes with a collective display such as a Fair. Serious collectors, museums and international interior decorators now have the opportunity to view the most important stock from a group of leading specialists at the touch of a button or screen.”
